Alex, you have found a good place to learn about daylilies and even sellers of daylilies. I will take no credit for your education because I am a newbie also just discovering daylilies this year and I have already added 200 myself. Got another 200 on my wish list.
It is a lot of work but very rewarding and planting on a hillside has got to be extra hard work. It is good you had yourself a companion with a bone.
,How can you not look down at that face and get a smile? I bet your hill side is just beautiful, what a great idea to beautify your property. Plus if you slip you will have something to grab on to!
Thanks so much for the list of good sellers, I have met a lot of people here on this forum and like you I grew to respect them very much. I will not mention names in-case I forget someone, I will not be SMH. I have purchased from a lot of the same people as you and some different ones and with you being in zone 4, I think you have had good success with your daylilies. Some of the daylilies just need more time, that's all.
We have people here from up north and they will give you good advice about what daylilies do good there and what you should avoid.
Great bunch of enablers!!
