Thanks! Since he didn't have a lot of impairment and he improved while he was in the hospital, the doctor thought he'd fully recover, but there are no guarantees. One thing I should mention...everyone should all be aware of the early signs of a stroke and find out where the stroke center hospitals are in your area. Make sure to go to one of those...if someone gets help within 3 hours after it happens, a medication can be given IV which is more effective in most cases. You're right, Sandi...the ER was full of many people that had bugs...flu, pneumonia, viruses, etc. My daughter, who had to work on Christmas, said the same sort of cases were showing up in the Houston hospitals.
