Well, they are good starting points, anyway. To be sure you should grow them next to the "real" cultivars, for a close comparison. In the case of Pallida, there are several pallidas, and you probably won't be able to pin the exact one down. putting names on unknown iris is a VERY challenging thing to do, taking lots of time and energy.Please, whatever you do, DON'T call these iris "identified", until they are "test grown", or examined by a REAL expert. There are too many mis-named iris out there already!.The "cheapest " way to confirm ID, is to find an "iris Buddy" that will accept a "start" from you to grow "against " his, or her, known ,named variety.
