Linda, I rarely see a male Hummingbird ... usually there will be one around for a short period in spring and then it's just the females that I notice throughout the summer months. I've been seeing some lately that seem a lot smaller and I wonder if they are juveniles. Or, maybe it's just me and they seem smaller, LOL. It's been very windy here all day but I was outside taking a picture of a Monarch B'fly at the Tropical Milkweed when suddenly a hummingbird flew in and began feeding at the milkweed; then hovered in front of me for a few seconds before heading to the Pentas flowers ... then it took off to the Cypress tree and looked like it was trying to nectar at a little ball of spanish moss! Confused
