Paula - I agree with Fred that the petals are too wide to qualify as a spider. I would register it as an unusual form cascade. I think it is very pretty and has a unique look. Does the throat color continue the whole length of the petal?

This is Black Plush X Starman's Quest, which I'm going to have to measure for the spider ratio and have never done before. It has a 6.5 inch bloom on 44-48 inch scapes with 17-19 buds per scape and 3-4 way branching. The color is sangria red with a black red eye. I'm on the fence about registering this. I already have more than 20 fans, but wish it had better branching. Only a couple of scapes had 4-way branching. Also, my computer died that had all my stats and hybridizing info, and I can't remember if this is evergreen or not.
