Betty and Ann:
Thank-you both for your very kind remarks. Ann, I have great respect' for my daylily hill. I never take it for granted. It's bigger and steeper than I am. The hardest part of this garden is the weeding, and taking pictures. And we all know how daylily's have there own way of facing just the opposite way to the way you wish to photograph them. Can be frustrating at times. Sometimes, I have to use my zoom lens to get those lilies in the center of the hill, the steepest part. Sometimes, I just slide down on my derriere, lean into the hill, stand up, and quickly shoot the pix. That stone wall is 4 ft. tall. The hill would probably measure 25 ft high on a 30 degree angle. It is what it is, and I am up am up and down that hill several times a day. All 160 daylilies were fertilized in April. All will be covered with leaf mulch and pine boughs in the late Fall. @ 71, this hill keeps me very fit, and I feel better now than when I was 41 and CEO of my own company. Knock on wood.
A few more pix today.
