Char, I too love your Jellyroll Morton. Outstanding flower.
I still have some FFO's appearing in my garden as well as some outstanding blooms. Rain, sunshine, and cooler nights present deeper colors as assets, but some of those frilly edged plants need help with opening--not so good. Let's see what is blooming in the garden today.
INDIAN GIVER - FFO
ROUND AND ROUND WE GO - FFO- E. Shooter- DIP- Has been in he garden for 3 yrs., never bloomed. Nice surprise.
BLUE BEAT - FFO- TWINS - Always a late bloomer in my garden, and always spectacular. One of my fav's!
ROYAL CYPHER - FFO- Added to the garden last year but didn't bloom. Not bad as an ffo- but a way to go to fulfill it's genetics. Will watch this one closely and post further blooms down the road.
BARBARA MORELLO- FFO- Added to the garden in 2010. Never bloomed until yesterday. This is one of the first Nicole blooms that she presented as a hybridizer years ago. I must admit it doesn't at all look like her picture, but then again it's a ffo. The beginnings of that yellow edge is apparent, but the color and edge have a long way to go. Will re-post as further blooms occur.
ESP - FFO - John Shooter - DIP - Always lovely.
TED'S TRIBUTE TO LINDA - FFO - Wowza! This flower is close to 9" in size, and needed some help to open for me to take her picture. Hence the rip in the left petal. I apologize. It's beauty is obvious. Ruffles galore.
WHO'S THAT GIRL? This is the mistaken plant sent by Pete Harry, supposed to be Indigo Edge. Huge flower.
ANN HATHAWAY'S GARDEN - FFO- Gaskins- Planted last Fall. Sweet!
SUSAN ELINOR - Encore- Last bloom on this lovely Nicole flower. Been blooming for a month and has outperformed for me.
BARBARA MANDRELL - Another outperformer! Has bloomed for 6 weeks consistently with more to come. Although the cooler temps have taken away some of her beautiful fluffy white edge, she still brightens my garden with her beautiful blooms.
