Betty, couple or three years ago my computer guru recommended to me losing anything Norton and installing Microsoft's (free!) Security Essentials. He also recommended FireFox for a browser. I listened to him and I've never looked back. My computer runs faster and has fewer issues since I took his advice. FWIW.
