My house is a freakishly fantastic light blue-green color that changes with the light and the season. I call it 'spring sage'. Darker foundation sortakinda matches my favorite rock; even darker trim --not much of it--brings out the lines of the architect (old house/famous guy).
Maybe it clashes with everything, but we get a lot of compliments on the house color and the gardens. It is a large front yard, on a corner lot in front of God and everybody. I thought briefly about proper and formal landscaping and neutral colors for the house. Then I proceeded to do whatever I wanted, because it makes *me* smile when I come home. First pic is early spring. Here is one in July and September. (right now it really looks blue w/the snow but I don't have a picture)
