My shed had metal siding and decided to paint it to look like a wood shed. By painting the paint under the siding 'clapboards' and blend down on each 'board' it created a natural and weathered painted wood look instead of white metal.

The shutters are the original wood ones. After painting them bright Spring Lime Green, I gave them a wash of Dark Chocolate Brown to bring them back to an Earth colored shade and an aged look. I did add the silver buttons though.
