Years ago, my mom bought Mattel's "Blaze" rocking horse for my oldest son (he is 52 and he got it when he was 1 1/2). She paid 55 dollars for it, and it went around to all the kids in the family and is now going to Max for Christmas. I see this horse on E Bay with the price tags from 300.00 to 500.00 even though they no longer "speak" and have lots of dings and scratches. My neighbor recovered one that was "junked". He plans to split it open to figure out how the horse gallops, trots, canters and rocks. I convinced him to try to recreate a new one because I always thought that Mattel could sell these like hotcakes again at a fair price.
We're so excited to see Max's reaction to this horse.
