Tina it is called a Vegetable Grasshopper Atractomorpha similis, apparently (Family Pyrgomorphidae). You would think they could come up with a better name.
They don't do much damage but they can be in quite large numbers in my garden. They make a mess of coleus. The only thing they seem to tell me is that my garden is growing well and is yummy.
