David ... but it's a good rambling!!
I'm going to be 66 in a couple of weeks and I'd never taken any medication with the exception of an occasional advil for headache or arthritis ... that is until two years ago! I had routine lab work and my cholesterol was extremely high. I tried diet and exercise ... still high, so the doctor put me on medication; next lab work showed cholesterol still high so the dosage was increased ... next labs showed cholesterol to be down (good) but my triglicerides were extremely high!! So now she's got me on medication for that too! I go back in April for labs again and I'm so hoping the trigliceride levels are way down. I have a small esophagus so I have difficulty swallowing pills, the tiny advil are about all I can get down. Whenever I've had to take an antibiotic over the years it's had to be in liquid form.
