Just wanted to share a quick pic of the new "bromeliad bed." In quotations because I naturally had to add cuttings and such from the yard Hilarious! Too many beautiful plants, so little space!

I was reading above regarding full sun in Florida. Just in case it serves as a useful tidbit for anyone, adding giant elephant ears, using tall containers/planters and incorporating the handful of bigger broms that can handle the brutality creates some shade for the more sensitive ones planted around them. As a side note, as I acclimate them to the sun, I use shade dots with a lot of success. In case you haven't heard of these yet: http://www.shadeforplants.com/...
