I had to move a number of my heucheras last month to make room for a new deer fence. Happily the weather cooperated ( cooler and wetter August than usual) and everything did fine.
Some are outside the fence and some are in. I guess the deer will nibble on those that are outside this winter. They didn't bother them this summer, as they had so much more to choose from.
Some of these were newly planted in the spring from Santa Rosa gardens. I was very pleased with their heucheras.

A large tree was taken down late last winter which meant the heuchera got more sun this summer, but they did fine overall. A few of the chartreuse varieties burned a bit, but the entire group did well overall. Some heuchera are in the shade area below.
