Melissa, I use 2 small 4" computer fans to recirculate air in my GH, and prevent excess moisture build up. They are induction motors (no brushes to wear out) and run 24/7. They are easy to find free from old commuters and such. They are very efficient, most only use 1/4 amps and move a lot of air gently.
A good source of dry wood for your RMH would be old pallets. Available from businesses that don't recycle them like the big box stores. Two local places here come to mind, a glass shop, and a wood stove store. They are usually under 40#s, many are hardwood, easy to cut up with a skill (circular) saw, fit in compact station wagon, and are free. In your RMH you could even burn the parts with nails since they could easily be removed from the fire tube, even using an old magnet on a handle, and set aside to cool. Smiling
