Heres the story:

"If ever a plant was adorable, cute, sweet, and lovable,...for me its the 'Mini Pixie' Syngonium podophyllum. I never even knew this little gem existed until I had one of my plant sales three years ago. A lady stopped by who said she was a horticulturist and traveled the world collecting seeds and rare plants. She loved our miniature gardens that day. Two days after the yard sale this lady knocked on my door and presented me with what looked like a 1 inch tall seedling of a regular Syngomium and I was grateful for her kindness yet thought to myself,...
"God thats so weird! If I was going to bring someone a plant of something like a syngonium I would at least bring a larger separation plant from the parent, not a 2 inch specimen with 2 leaves no bigger then a half inch!" (LOL inside to myself)

Anyways I gave her a look of pure appreciation because I did and then she told me about the diminutive little gift.

In her words as close as I can recall:
She says, "Do you know what this is?"
I believe its a baby Syngonium?
"Yes, but not just a regular one. This is a rarer one and the leaves never get any larger then 1 inch. When I was at your plant sale, I loved your miniature gardens and thought this would be a great addition them."
Wow Thank you I said, and was completely skeptical, but if it were true I thought to myself, that would be the coolest little plant ever to me! So I took the tiny little thing and babied it for a year and it developed into about a 3 inch high mound by 3 inches wide that first year in a spacious area, and proved itself to truly be everything this lady had said.
It is a perfect and truly dwarf little plant. whether on a windowsill or in a miniature garden or terrarium, This little 'Mini Pixie' keeps herself in her little space and always is a perky little delight to most who see her who love plants.

Below is a picture of one of my standard Syngoniums. The leaves are almost as big as my hand...

or in pots. These would look great with mini Begonias, African Violets, Bonsai, Terrariums and on goes the list! I tip my hat to you.
