I totally agree with all the above wonderful things about ATP, but have one more to add.

As a veteran Master Gardener here in Florida, I still run into what I think of as an 'older generation mind set' that you can, for example, just spray insecticide around a yard and "take care of all those bugs". I had a call at our Plant Clinic last summer from a gentleman who had virtually nuked his whole yard with two different chemicals, and was calling us because the "gol-durned bugs are back already".

ATP offers such a great chance to help more gardeners think about trying the non-toxic, benign solutions to weed, pest and disease control, and fertilization. I feel as if we've done something good for the environment each time we convince somebody not to buy the toxic stuff before they've tried soapy water, baking soda, DE or BT instead.
