OK, I may be the only one here with my particular taste, but I came by it naturally.

I like old things,
Patina is a beautiful thing.
I like vintage" things that are a little "worn out" looking to most people.
I collect old things made of wood - especially boxes.
Can't resist them at flea markets and such.

And I like rust.
And my favorite color is green.
SO I like rust on green things.

ALSO, because my finances kind of crashed and burned with my disability, I tend to scavenge things.
Having driven a pickup truck for 25 years, I developed a habit of grabbing things others had put to the curb on garbage night.
I have several old doors that will be table tops and just leaned up against the walls as "paneling" in the basement.
I have a slightly flawed old mirror or six, some of which have elaborate wood frames.
Pittsburgh being rife with historical buildings in various states of repair, I have also scavenged some architectural elements...
And cobblestones.

I started this rant because I was about to write about the rusted green set of table and 2 chairs I just scored for $25!!!
I've been walking past that house for years and when suddenly only one chair was out, I thought they were throwing them out, so I asked.
And they're willing to sell to me for cheap.

Am I the only one here with this fetish for "used" history?
SHOW ME YOUR CRITTERS! I have a critter page over at Cubits. http://cubits.org/crittergarde...
