Here's the little orange Aechmea starting to poke out. The picture makes it seem a little more "neon" and adds a pink tint that it doesn't have. It's actually a pretty true, bright orange. And I don't normally like orange that much. But this one is awesome. I think I'm only going to have this one inflorescence this year. It varies from year to year, but this year I was looking and most of the pups seem to small to bloom. Still, it's better than nothing!

And Quesnelia testudo is poking out a little more. This picture is not sideways; the bloom is coming out the side of the plant. Also, you can see the little blue-purple accents at the bottom of the bloom.

I've got more in store so stay tuned! Also, I was looking at my Aechmea gamosepalas today and I have a whole new wave of blooms coming. It's going to be awesome! Totally love that plant.
