Compost benefits from sitting on top of soil.

I don't compost through the winter months. Often the snow is too deep to get there, or the deck and stairs are ice covered. Last year the snow was blown up against back door and we couldn't even get the door opened. If we get a warm day, the yard is like a swamp... I compost three seasons of the year, but not in winter.

I enjoyed the podcast. I listened while I was potting up a couple of plants and wintersowing a few jugs of seeds.
