Marilyn, it looks like they took the Buena Vista Ferry across the Willamette River. Bridges are few and far between.
I lead the car caravan from Patty's to Dancing Oaks. I was scared to death I would screw it up. One thing I had forgotten about was the two miles of dirt road from the highway to D.O. Think of it as a very long one lane dirt driveway where if a car is coming the other way someone has to pull off and there were few places to do that.
