Does your local garden center/nursery have an online presence? I recently bought some lovely plants that came from a nursery in a nearby town and discovered that they have a Facebook page. I posted there and complimented them on the quality of their plants, as well as asking for a more precise ID. They were very helpful with the ID and appreciated the positive input. Kind of a nice way to say "thank you."
