Jeanie, amsonia and Moonshine yarrow sounds beautiful- great idea! I'm so going to steal that idea, LOL. I've got several amsonia seedlings that I've been planning on moving to that bed (I call it the sky garden). An area I've been working on reworking a bit would be perfect for that combo- here's some of what is there and what I planted today:


That poppy was supposed to be Victoria Louise. I waited 3 years for it to bloom, and then it was bright scarlet! I was going to try and move it, but finally decided to rethink the color scheme for the entire bed instead- that's what inspired planting the trumpet honeysuckle there.
