Well sometimes you do get what you want as a breeder. I've always thought that 'Olivette' might have an underlying yellow to make that green such an odd shade. Anyway in '13 I self-pollinated a whole stalk of 'Stuffed Olive' (which is from 'Olivette' x 'Malby's #2) and raised about 80 seedlings. Many were green with red bases like mom but there were also some more olive greens and three that I marked as "yellowish". I have pulled these out away from the others and they are starting to show their real character now that they are established and back growing again. This one is my favorite because it's yellow with green tips to the leaves. The only thing I could wish for is the wide form of 'Olivette' but I'm certainly happy with this one. Best yet it seems to be vigorous.

Also found two towards blue that I'm going to pull out of the seedling bed. They are bluer than anything else I've seen.
