A quick update on my sedum accent garden... I took the photos a couple of days ago. You can see that Thunderhead is blooming ahead of Autumn Joy. This is a good thing as it will extend the overall bloom time.

Autumn Joy is a bit shorter than the clump I shovel-pruned it from in the backyard where it grows in almost all-day sun. Here in the front yard this patch on the north side of my house gets much less sun but everything seems to thrive. Right now the bees are going bonkers over these. So far I am not seeing the black bumble bees though; I don't know what is going on with them this year.

As the Sedum sarmentosum grows outward I pull the rockery further out to extend the garden. This is turning out to be very easy to grow and take care of. Very few weeds make it through the S. sarmentosum. As for the Sedum 'Coral Reef' in the foreground, the S. sarmentosum took to growing right over it so I just pushed it to the side all around and everything is hunky dory again (for the time being Hilarious! ).
