One of my OTs did that (Dalian) blooming into early October. It was well established too, planted three years ago. All I can say is it was late to emerge this spring and progressed very slowly after that. Perhaps next year it will be a goner (as I thought it was earlier this spring). It did seem to have a longer bloom period but I really didn't keep track. Just one stem though.
