Anderwood's blog: Horti-Thoughts 1

It looks like spring in the twin cities Minnesota zone 4B will be gradual. This makes me happy because I want to try more cool weather crops this year, and it will give my compost more time to cook while I plan my garden.

I have yet to draw up a plan for my plethora of seeds that will turn into a green jungle come mid July. Without a plan, it will be a humble-jumble mess!

I want my garden to reflect the beauty of the one who created life. A garden should have a deeper meaning. It should reflect the life of the gardener.

We need to care for the abundant life found in the soil, and that means not tilling after we have established the planting area. We shall not disturb the integral web of mycorrhiza, worms, beneficial bugs, and bacteria that make our plants flourish. Please join me in the no-till revolution and tell every gardener stuck in that rut to embrace this way of gardening.
