beckygardener's blog: New hardscaping added in 2014

Posted on May 3, 2014 10:28 AM

Concentrating on as much hardscaping as affordable.

So far in 2014 I've added: 2 new raised beds, concrete bags border around Oak tree, mulch path, vertical herb garden, new beds on each side of the large arbor/pergola, and mailbox on post for storage of small garden tools.

Two new raised beds for daylilies:

And paver steps in two areas near the new daylily raised beds:

I also extended the Butterfly and Hummingbird garden in the front yard. I used seedling daylilies to border the extension. The front of my house gets the southern exposure, so it is such a hot location (especially in summer), but I am hoping the daylilies will survive and bloom there. Time will tell!
