Well hubby has been busy building a new shed. The plans started out small at first but then he brought home his 40+ year old hand built canoe from his parents (he and his Dad built it together so it's special) and he wanted to store that in the shed to protect it and now it's a 17 X 12 ft building. Big enough to house guests if it wasn't for the canoe, lawn mower, garden tools etc.! Or maybe a perverbial *dog house*. ;-)
The foundation went in early Dec. and the floor and walls quickly followed with the help of our son. That's my baby boy carrying the board, all 6' 5" of him!
All the windows are random ones we got from friends and from salvage yards. I will paint the outside to match the house most likely (once I actually select a color! Decisions!) I am thinking of painting the inside too, just with whatever random paint colors we already have, to give it a cleaner finished look. It will also have a landing added along the front as a porch, room enough for a cute little garden chair or two plus a window box under the front window, which will be the two dark green ones seen inside in the second to last photo.
The last photos were taken yesterday, rain has now stopped the work for now. If you click on the photos, hopefully it gives the sense of the size of this shed.
