To understand the way nature works, one should first observe and understand everything that happens in the garden. No matter how small, the garden is a place of intense activity, and you will get even more pleasure from it, and become a better gardener, if you understand what is taking place. It could go from paying close attention to the insects visiting the flowers to noticing the way water reaches every inch of the plant. Looking through some plants, for instance, would help the gardener set the appropriate environment. Thus, making sure each plant reach its full potential.
