Hi all! Thumbs up to sprouting! I've been doing it for fifteen years and I teach classes in sprouting and growing micro greens. It's a wonderful way to grow food, and it also turns out to be one of the best ways to buy seeds - one can buy seeds by the pound that are sold for sprouting, and get such a better deal than buying seeds in packets. For example, I bought a pound each of kale and cabbage seeds for micro greens this past winter from www.sproutpeople.com and decided to plant some in my outdoor garden as well. Check out the photo of some of these plants! 10 to 20 dollars for a whole pound of these seeds, versus 4 or 5 dollars for a measly packet of seeds. Kale is on the far left, and the cabbage is 2nd to left. Next is escarole, then endive, the Monstreaux Spinach.
Check out the sprouts and micro greens! Overgrown pea greens in trays, flax greens, wheat and rye grass, sunflower greens, etc. And I threw in a pic of a monstreaux spinach leaf and some lemon balm for fun.
