Propagation by cuttings is needed.
Remove shots 6-8" long that are a diameter of a pencil/larger cuttings should be taken in Feb./ March and placed vertically in the soil w/ top dormant bud eexposed. Dusting w/ root harmone, rooting on the cut end will enhance root formation.
Get rid of suckers on reg. basis, 3-5 scaffold branches should be selected about 10in. above soil level & spaced 4-6 in. apart along the trunk as tree takes shape
