If you enjoy the plants that bloom early consider the daffodil. For early bloomers I recommend "February Gold", "Early Sensation", "Tete-A-Tete", and the "Jet Fire". We live in a wooded area and these daffodils get enough sun before the leaves come on the trees to sustain their growth.
