January 11, 2020 - January 12, 2020: Obtained plant (Seeds obtained from Mount Royal Seeds. Seeds are currently going through stratification after soaking in water for 24 hours. Stratification is done in moist paper towels and left inside plastic sandwich bag and left in cabinet at room temperature.

Seeds need to be left alone in moistened environment (Vermiculite or wet paper towel etc.) for ~90 days

Stratification will start in April and will last ~ 90 days in refrigerator, important not to freeze the seeds.

These trees are hard to germinate and may take up to 2 years or more to sprout. Don't give up, and never throw away seeds that didn't germinate.

Stratification end date: July 2020 (first grow year, tree will survive winter indoor under T5 light to ensure survival. The following year the trees will be allowed to enter dormancy as it is necessary for deciduous trees to go into dormancy to ensure survival.)
