I bought my plant from Almost Eden Fall of 2018.
Events
March 22, 2021: Maintenance performed (2-15-21 freeze may have gotten it. Will watch for life.)
April 5, 2021: Plant emerged (Several leaves on 2 root sprouts that show variegation )
May 13, 2021: Transplanted (In a 2 gallon pot on patio.)
June 7, 2021: Bloomed (All new growth has reverted to green. Just a tiny bit of var. so disappointed but still red flowers are nice.)
September 20, 2021: Miscellaneous Event (By July had a growth spurt & all on variegated parts so lots of variegated leaves on a 5' plant & flowers galore in Aug. & Sept attracting humming birds. When I trim back in Nov. I will try to root variegated parts & remove green ones.)
April 25, 2022: Bloomed (Full of new variegated leaves & 1st flower of 2022)
February 14, 2024: Maintenance performed (leggy so trimmed to 12" & put cuttings in water to root since seeds produced solid green)
April 1, 2024: Cuttings took (Roots started on 2 so I potted on April 18th. I will keep for a larger cluster & these had variegated leaves unlike ones from seeds.)
