This plant is very vigorous and was quickly going to overtake this entire site and smother out all the other perennials here. We didn't have a name for it when it was purchased. I recently tripped over its name in a book I'm reading and looked it up. The California Invasive Plants Council lists it. Its sterile but very vigorous. It is still sold in California. For more info:
