Huge sturdy plant, with very large blooms.

Notice the "strange" bud in my photo. They all seem to be this way, looking as if it's been eaten or deformed, must be due to the shape of the petals. Produces a lot of proliferations. Vigorous and hardy in 4b/5a.

New this spring, but due to the generosity of Woodhenge Gardens I have blooms and pollen to work with. I really love its pretty patterned face.

Bright orange with darker Red/Orange eye and yellow/orange throat. The bright colors match the intensity of color in so many sunsets over water.

I would caution anyone in the north (I am z 5a) against purchasing this in the fall. I purchased a double fan in the fall of 2017 from a Ohio grower, and it dwindled to a fragile single fan by spring. It has survived, but barely.

Wonderful plant and one of Judy's rare dips. Does fantastic in my zone 5a garden. Easily fertile both ways. I love it!

Name comes from a fishing lure made by the Coldwater Bait Company, Coldwater Michigan.

The photos posted for this one do not do it justice. (I'll have to see whether I have a better one.) This is an absolutely beautiful flower, great scape, beautiful foliage .... both pod and pollen fertile. Love, Love, Love it.

This is an absolute favorite, I will always grow it. I took the first photo of it this year on July 5th, and it is still blooming on August 11th. Pretty fantastic for a fancy one here in my zone 5 ... sometimes a 4. Early morning opener, it does not hang up, and is both pollen and pod fertile. One of John Kulpa's very best.

This one needs room to really shine, give it some space. It really impresses when you can take in a clump that isn't crowded by other daylilies.

I purchased this when it was a new introduction, so it was planted in the spring of 2014. The plant I started with was small and grew slowly. It took 3 years for it to finally put up 3 nicely branched scapes. Still not as tall as registered, maybe 44". This is just one report from one person. Maybe it has done better for others. So far no pods have set on it, and its pollen has not worked either.

2017 edit : I can now report that I have successfully set pods on "It's Afraid of Spiders", and use its pollen successfully.

I love this plant, fantastic branching and bud counts, makes a real statement. Give it some room to show off. Very Pod fertile !

Love Love Love this beauty. Tall and well branched, and you can't beat the color. Very hardy in my zone 5 garden. Hard to find, but well worth the search.

'Still The One' puts on an amazing display. It is an older Judy Davisson cultivar that everyone should consider. I love the height, color, branching, and total look of this one.

THE CALM BEFORE THE STORK (Davisson 10)

I love this daylily's combination of lilac and lavender, plus the watermark. Highly recommended, Goldner genetics make it a great choice for northern growers. Nice branching and good budcount.

One of Judy's previous introductions that she has at a bargain price.

Purchased this one when it was introduced for the height, branching, and rebloom. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting to see that in my garden. Mine's 3-way at best, height in the low to mid 30s, and no rebloom. I don't think I will ever see the registered stats in my zone 5. It may do better in a warmer growing zone with a longer season.

I LOVE the color of this daylily, but it is nearly impossible to catch it correctly with a camera. Deep Ruby Red! It does not fade and holds up well to rain.

Blooms for a very long time, still blooming here in my zone 5 garden on August 16th. Branching is good, but the blooms are tight at the top of each branch, just because there are so many. Usually it's not an issue due to how bloom time is spread out, but to keep it pretty, it should be deadheaded.

I have used its pollen successfully, but haven't been able to set a pod on it and I've tried a LOT.

I have nothing else like it in the garden, and will always grow it. Fabulous.

A dream plant for the hybridizer that wants extra-tall, sturdy scapes. It can be used for Unusual forms or rounder forms and make too-short scapes taller. Easily fertile both ways. From "Sears Tower" breeding, it's in the parentage of at least 9 J. Davisson introductions.

Great plant just to enjoy in the garden too. It may not have all the bells and whistles of some modern cultivars, but it sure makes a nice display. Blooms ML here and continues for a long time. It had rebloom scapes this year that kept it blooming after most things had stopped.
