John's cultivars are not widely distributed. Michigan born, they survive the elements. This one is not as fancy as some of his newer things, but it is a favorite of mine. Lovely presence in the garden.

This is a cute plant and a great one for the "Edible Landscape." Light and airy, it's loaded with lovely lavender blooms and attractive pods that can be used in a salad or stir fry. Easy to start from seed and grow.

I don't know why this one is registered as 3 way branching and 7 buds .... error maybe? In my garden it has at minimum 5 way branching and 25 plus buds. Look at my photo of its scape. That's typical for it here in my Z5a garden.

I love this cute dark one. Great for entering in shows. I've seen it win "Best Small" several times.

I love this one from Dan Bachman. Nicely spaced branching, with great budcounts. Sunfast blooms curve back a bit, giving it the look of being smaller than 4.5" to me. I'd bet it would be a good choice for a small Uf program. Fertile both ways.

Very distinctive, one that you can identify without a marker. Not the most vigorous of the Kropf doubles, slower to increase, but makes a nice clump once it gets established. Well worth growing for its distinctive bloom.

Does great in Z5a Michigan. I love the soft pink color, which it passes on to its kids.

Seldom doubles in my Z5a garden, but I prefer the cute little single blooms and don't see this as a negative. This is one of the nicest well-behaved clumps in my garden. Beautiful foliage and a great branching scape, great substance, and great color that doesn't fade.

Very nice plant. I've seen six of these huge blooms open on one scape without the scapes falling over. Scapes have very wide-spaced branching. Very vigorous, increasing quickly. I haven't been able to set a pod on it, but the pollen is good.

Additional opinion: I think this is one cultivar that looks better if you keep the clump size controlled. Once it turns into a large clump, which doesn't take all that long, the blooms are too crowded and scapes have more of a tendency to lean.

Another Judy Davisson introduction that grows fantastically in my zone 5a garden.

There were clumps of this one in several gardens during the 2012 National in Ohio. There were always positive comments and it never went unnoticed. Grows great in my zone 5a garden.

This daylily is stunning, with a nice plant underneath the sunfast bloom in zone 5a.

One of my favorite "Kamensky" cultivars. Nice branching and consistent northern rebloom.

"Redneck Reunion" has the most fabulous scape: amazing branching and tons of blooms. Photos don't do it justice. It thrives in my zone 5a garden.

Another great introduction from Michigan's own John Kulpa. Great show flower. Makes a fantastic clump. Highly recommended.

"Arnie Oseland" is a great parent for ruffled edges and or teeth. Born in Michigan, it's very hardy.

I used to grow one of the parents, 'Lady Dancer,' and loved its color. It looks like that carried over in 'You Glow Girl.'
The color is what sold me on this one. I planted it in 2014, and I'm hoping to see blooms this season.

Give it another try, I have found that HM is easily pod fertile, but I'm not sure if I've used its pollen.

I loaded it up with pods using "Embroidery Stitching" and "Great Auntie Picklebottom" this past summer.
