[ Rose (Rosa 'Madame Pierre Oger') | Posted on September 1, 2016 ]

This rose, like 'Reine Victoria' and 'Zéphirine Drouhin,' is actually considered to do its best in partial shade. It's stronger in the shade and best if cut back rather severely in spring. It's even advised to cut it back between flowerings (from June till frost). New growth pops up quickly with plenty more flowers, so it's good to feed it regularly.

It has lovely porcelain petals and smells wonderful. Even from a distance, it will catch your attention in the most pleasant way.
