Caption: Wish I could figure out which particular form of H. kikutii this is. I got it from a botanist who collected seeds of it in the wild on a trip to Japan. The scapes are held almost horizontally.

Caption: H. rectifolia var. rectifolia f.pruinosa is rather floriferous and readily sets seed. I have to be careful to cut the scapes when the seedpods are starting to open up otherwise I'd have a carpet of seedlings the next spring.

Caption: 'Ray of Hope' has a reputation for not easily setting seed. As you can see, pods are on the small side and I've not seen any seeds from them but I have used RoH as a pollen parent with success.
