What is usually sold as Erodium chrysanthum (Yellow Heron's Bill), is in fact a hybrid. The true E. chrysanthum is in fact much more yellow than this commonly sold hybrid. Erodium chrysanthum and its hybrids have separate male and female plants. All the plants of this hybrid that are available on the market are males. Those in the know, have called this hybrid 'Moon Man'.
