Aeonium2003 on Apr 28, 2022 12:58 PM concerning plant:
Perhaps the most common Aeonium in cultivation. Said to be hardy down to 25 degrees f. However my plants were damaged at 30 degrees f. Becomes a large caespitose bush, and flowers profusely. Bulbils may form on the flower stalks. Stems are rough. Similar to gomerense, but gomerense is a large plant with smoother stems. The stems on gomerense are thicker compared to those of haworthii. Flowers are self fertile, and set a lot of seed. Seed should be sown in the fall, when temperatures do not reach above 70 degrees f. If seed is exposed to too warm temperatures, they will go into a dormant state. There are various forms of haworthii, ranging in sizes. Should not be confused with castello-paive, which has more delicate stems, and more acute leaves. Propagation of haworthii can be done via seed, cutting, or leaf.
