Relatively common glaucous blue-green cactus from subtropical Brazil with stems to about 6 inches wide and at least as tall. 11-15 ribs, 12-15+ yellow spines per areole. Yellow flowers, usually in profusion. May be solitary but often branches to form multi-headed clumps over time. Provide ample space in containers and in the ground to allow branching plants room to grow wide.
