    I grew this one as a late corn in the 70's. Very large ears (9 inch) and very productive. Biggest fault is that the ears frequently grew out the end of the husks and invited sap beetles for a feast. The habit also made it quite attractive to common grackles. The pericarp was also tougher than normal. I replaced it with Golden Queen and then moved on to whites and bi-colors.
