Poplar Root is an ancient vining white fleshed sweet potato. It is not the bush White Triumph which sometimes uses the name. It has very long vines and the potatoes are very irregular. Some are long and skinny with raised veins which reminded our forefathers of the roots of a Tulip Poplar. Flavor is good for a white fleshed type. Vines are probably excessive for a home gardener as they will run 10 feet in all directions.
