Beautiful peppers. I have eaten many of the Italianelle Sweet Frying peppers green, but when I have the patience I leave them on the plant until they turn red. They are very sweet and tasty, especially when red. This is my first year growing this variety, but I will definitely be growing them again next season.

I've been growing these beauties for almost 10 years. Things I've learned:
- they need weekly watering for an abundant crop
- staking helps to keep peppers off the ground
- protection of plants from deer is critical ("marauders of the green")
- for zone 6b plants can go in the ground mid-May

Another year of growing the Italianelle Sweet Frying peppers, and this year they are doing even better than they did last season. More production, and still that marvelous sweet taste.
I have my pepper plants growing in a better location this season than last, so that is the reason for the increased production. I do like this variety, my favorite for eating fresh and for stir frying. I mostly wait till they are red before picking.
