This is truly a drought-tolerant plant when established. It is beautiful and interesting in its form, and it grows in a wide range of zones and conditions. It looks lovely in winter as well, covered with frost or dusted with snow. And it is pretty when it's covered with dew.
When it is putting on new growth, it takes on a slightly bluish-grey color. Once established, it grows rapidly. At its mature height, it will serve as a screen plant. Works well in groups or as a specimen plant.
