There isn't ploidy information listed for this cultivar in the database (as of the time of this post), nor on the AHS database, but Night Beacon is a DIPLOID for those that are interested.

Stunning dark purple with an even darker purple black halo and wide sunburst golden throat. The excellent color pigmentation does not fade even in hot sun and the blooms open perfectly every time. Does well everywhere and a vigorous grower.

I have grown Night Beacon for a few years and it's a reliable rebloomer in my zone 8a garden. It's a lovely dark reddish purple color with a wide green throat. The bloom color is steadfast even in our hot sunny area. It's a nice addition to the front of a perennial border.
