This variety differs from the bush versions you see so often: The leaves are not velvety and soft. Instead, the hairs on them are quite stiff and feel almost prickly. This variety is well suited to making into a standard. Be careful not to overwater. Will require staking and proper shaping for some time until well formed and well established.
